I discovered Scottish artisan Lorraine Fleming in Ibiza and was immediately drawn to her instinct for transforming vintage jewellery, natural stones and unexpected found treasures into extraordinary contemporary pieces. We began working closely together to create a series of completely individual designs for Julia Clancey clients.
The Red Hot Siren is a show-stopping mix of saturated red and molten gold. Luxurious silky scarlet tassels are paired with sculptural 1980s vintage gold-tone clip earrings, reworked in both square and oval forms to create bold jewellery elements throughout the piece.
At the centre, a striking amethyst druzy quartz adds an unexpected flash of violet, while lustrous pearl and shell details soften the look and bring another layer of texture and light.
The rich braided gold cord gives the piece a decadent, almost couture finish, while the adjustable tie allows it to be styled in different ways — worn as a dramatic necklace, wrapped closer as a choker, or tied at the waist as an embellished belt over a kaftan, dress or swimwear.
Each design in the collaboration is created from individually sourced vintage and artisan elements, so no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
